Mt. Washington was the first mountain to really impress me. It has killed visitors during whiteout weather in mid-summer and has held the record for highest surface wind speed. But in any weather, this mountain is just stunningly beautiful. The day I took this, the peak kept drifting in and out of the clouds. This is the view from the top looking north along the Presidential Range. If you like hiking, the huts run by the Appalachian Mountain Club are excellent. - Ed
